An update from Poachers Commercial Outlets Manager - John Owen

With just a year to go, plans are well established for some of the additional activities you will see at POACHER 2004.

·        I have awarded the ICE CREAM contract to Walls Ice Cream and their regional operator will have two vans on site each day to make sure everyone keeps cool !

·        SNACKS will be available from breakfast till early evening…and will be offering burgers, chips, chicken nuggets etc for all those who didn't get a big enough breakfast!!

·        A COFFEE BAR will be available in the Main Building, selling Coffee, Tea, plus cakes, biscuits and cold drinks.

·        SOUVENIRS plus POACHER Sweaters, T Shirts and Badges are being prepared and again we will have a huge range available for Guides, Scouts and Leaders to take away to remind themselves of the time they have had at POACHER 2004. I will be posting a list and Clothing Order Form on the web site once we have finalised the range.

·        TESCO the UK’s number 1 retailer is again working with us to provide shopping facilities at their Superstore in Lincoln.

·        Buses will leave the site at 10am and 2.30pm to take Leaders and campers to buy their items and will drop them outside their camping area on their return.

·        We will be operating an EARLY MORNING SHOP, open from 7am – 9am each day, which will have fresh Milk, Bread, French Sticks and Croissants available. Also newspapers (for those who might have time to read!!)

LEADERS PLEASE NOTE - we will be offering to have available on your arrival, a range of groceries / food items, this will save you having to bring them with you from home. An order form will be posted soon to those who have already booked, and one will also be available "on - line" very shortly (when I have worked out how to do it!!)

Other facilities available will be:

2 Tuck Shops – one main one in the Village Centre, the other stationed at the bus departure gate.

Scout and Guide Shops UK

Photo Film and development (for those pictures you just have to see straight away!)

Camping and accessories shop

Calor Gas containers for cooking gas etc

Senior Staff and Junior Staff Bars and entertainment from 7pm until 10.30pm every night.
