Poacher 2004 As the camp chiefs we would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Poacher Website. We hope that what you see on the following pages will make you want to come and join our camp. Poacher is a well established International camp. It always has a theme running through it- this time our theme is “The Movies”. So buy your pop-corn and take your seats to experience “The Greatest Show on Earth” Pat and Beach About us: Pat Jones. Apart from a family gap I’ve been in Guiding since I was a Brownie in Wales. I was a Guider and Camp Adviser in Lancashire until 1996, very involved in our local international “Bowleree” as well as representing the UK at an event in Sangam, India. We moved to Lincolnshire in 1996 and I had my first Poacher experience in 2000. Have also helped to organise the Guide World Camp and have just returned from the World Jamboree in Thailand.
Pat Jones David Plume ( Beach ) David Plume. I have been in Scouting since a cub scout. Started my adult scouting in Stamford having moved from Wisbech acquired the nickname Beach. I have been to all Poachers since 1972 doing various jobs. I was chosen to take part in the World Jamboree in1995 and went out to Holland with the Lincolnshire contingent. I ran a successful Scoot troop for 14 years and then was ADC scouts for the Stamford & Bourne District for 9 years and am currently Assistant DC for the same area. |
